Day 1 of Editing

Welcome back! Today marked our group's first editing session. Challenges arose as conflicting schedules prevented us from meeting in person. To address this, we utilized a group chat and phone calls for remote collaboration. Our choice of editing software, Cap Cut, stemmed from its user-friendly interface and accessibility. Given our limited editing experience, the simplicity of Cap Cut suited our needs. We strategically began editing from the movie's start, avoiding confusion with random clips. Starting with the title screen, we organized and edited the clips in chronological order. Nathaniel suggested a comic sans font for a playful and comedic tone in the titles. With the title screens finalized, we proceeded to edit scenes, like the living room and kitchen. Longer scenes posed challenges due to camera setup intricacies during filming. Coordinating shots with all three of us in-frame required careful camera placement. Despite these challenges, we successfully edited the living room and kitchen scenes. Outdoor scenes presented additional difficulties due to camera setup peculiarities. Rehearsing actions in the same shot ensured we didn't disrupt the camera's delicate positioning. As we neared completion, both Alex and I had to leave, pausing the editing process. Excitement prevails as we look forward to finishing editing during our next collective session. Gratitude to our readers for following our filmmaking journey, stay tuned for more updates. Until next time, thank you for your ongoing support, and we'll be back soon with more progress. The collaborative effort showcased our adaptability and problem-solving skills. The blend of technology, teamwork, and creative choices promises an engaging final project.
